Khaeri Aboushagor, a media training and development coordinator, is an advisor and consultant with substantial experience working with international broadcasters and media development organizations. He is a pro-democracy and human rights advocate, activist and campaigner with more than 20 years of experience. Aboushagor spent 29 years living in exile before returning to Benghazi in July 2011 to help in the efforts of rebuilding Libya after Gaddafi.
In March 2011, Aboushagor addressed the European Council of Ministers, the European Parliament and members of the Houses of Lords and Commons in London, to drum up support for United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973 and direct intervention by the international community to protect Libyans from the Gaddafi regime.
