Filatova, Irina

Irina Filatova is a senior business reporter at Russia's only English-language daily The Moscow Time, where she covers a wide range of issues, including economy, foreign investment, metals, mining and construction. She joined The Moscow Times in 2009 after completing an internship at the headquarters of German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Frankfurt-am-Main, where she covered social issues. She was a contributor to Russian daily Izvestia from 2000 to 2008 as a news writer. Irina graduated from the Moscow State University's department of journalism, where she focused on Indian media studies and obtained a PhD degree in philology after defending a thesis on the development of the print media market in India.
