Fouad Ibrahim is a professor emeritus for social geography and the former head of the department of regional geography of Africa at the University of Bayreuth in Germany. He was born in Egypt and studied in Cairo, Dublin, Hanover and Hamburg. He has published more than 200 publications, e.g. on the genocide in Darfur and the situation of Coptic Christians after the downfall of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt.
