朝鲜驳回了联合国对其侵犯人权的指责。朝鲜驻联合国特使在纽约人权委员会表示,世人应该为朝鲜的全民免费教育和医疗感到骄傲。在此之前,联合国人权委员会特别报告员指责平壤领导人侵犯人权,自新的领导人金正恩上台以来人权状况仍然毫无改善,言论自由继续受到限制,法律制度不符合国际标准以及1600万人营养不良。此外,成千上万的人在监狱里遭受迫害,被强迫劳动。朝鲜驻联合国大使驳回了所有这些指责。
