希腊前总理帕帕季莫斯(Lucas Papademos)认为,希腊退出欧元区并非不可能。据周三(5月23日)一期的《华尔街日报》报道,帕帕季莫斯在接受该报的一次采访中表示,“存在着希腊离开欧元的风险”。他指出,关键是,希腊是否愿意坚持落实欧盟、国际货币基金组织和欧洲央行所规定的紧缩计划。帕帕季莫斯指出,虽然离开欧元这样的前景不太可能,而且也不是希腊和其他国家所希望的,但不能完全排除以下这一点,那就是:有关方面已经在进行准备,以便应对一旦希腊退出欧元区带来的后果。帕帕季莫斯警告说,希腊退出欧元区将造成5000亿至1万亿欧元的损失,并导致30—50%的通货膨胀率。
