YouNow - everyone is online

The video stream portal YouNow has long been popular among teenagers - particularly in the US and Germany. Users can broadcast live all over the world via webcam and get other users to watch them. A chat function allows them to communicate with their "audience". Many young people and even children give away personal information in the process without being aware of the risks.

The site has also been exploited by some pedophiles, who use it to lure youngsters into undressing on camera, often encouraging them by saying how beautiful they are. Young girls are considered to be particularly at risk. Experts are now warning against use of the site.
