Corvey Abbey in Höxter, a World Heritage Site since 2014. Its Westwork is unique, a church annex from the 9th century. It is the oldest preserved Westwork and representative of Carolingian architecture. The subterranean Civitas - an entire medieval city preserved in the ground - is part of the World Heritage.
