Why Germans are good at saving

The German coat of arms features an eagle, but a piggy bank would do just as well. Germans are good at nothing if not saving, regardless of interest rates. Economic historian Werner Abelshauser talks to Made in Germany about the mentality of saving money for a rainy day and where it comes from.
