The head of the Syrian military police who has identifies himself as General Abdulaziz al Shalal, the head of Syria's military police. In a message posted online, he says the Syrian army has failed to protect the country. Instead, it's destroying cities and committing massacres against unarmed civilians. His defection is another blow to the regime, which is trying to contain rebel advances.
