University Competition on the Topic of Digital Society

How might digital natives transform society? That’s the question being asked in a university competition sponsored by the German initiative Science in Dialogue (WiD).

A bus app that displays the shortest route for school bus drivers in rural areas. A special glove that people without sight or hearing can use to communicate with their surroundings via the Internet. Those are just two of the ideas that are being presented by the fifteen teams who have been selected by Science in Dialogue (WiD) to take part in a Germany-wide competition. They’re getting 10,000 euros to help them turn their ideas into reality.
