The poor get priced out of London

Studies show that Britain has become one of Europe’s most unequal societies, and the gap between rich and poor is widening especially in London. The soaring cost of housing in the British capital and the crackdown on welfare is changing the social fabric of the city, pricing some of the poorest Londoners out of their home town. Stephen Beard reports from the borough of Newham in London’s East End.
