The fight to save Puglia's olive trees

About a third of Italy's olive oil is produced in Puglia. But 500 year old olive groves have been threatened with the chop after the government declared an environmental catastrophe and applied for a grant from the EU to destroy olive trees they believe to be infected with the Xylella Fastidiosa bacteria.
