With the M Sport Edition, BMW wants to underscore the already sporty side of its 6 Series coupé. This includes a model-specific aerodynamics package, adaptive LED headlights, a special leather steering wheel, special door sill panels, and bucket seats.

But what interested us was that this dream sportscar is a diesel. The 640d measures up to the power and sportiness of its gasoline-powered equivalent, the 640i. But it wins easily when it comes to keeping fuel consumption down. On the other hand, to profit from those fuel savings in Germany you have to invest about €85,000 in the car.
