As his interest grew in business and finance, he decided to pursue these subjects academically and professionally.

Steve grew up in San Jose, California, on the edge of what has now evolved into Silicon Valley. While he misses the California sunshine and beach, he finds the journalistic landscape in Europe intensely interesting and rewarding.

When he is not working in the German capital, he pursues his love of travel and lives in Austria where he works as a radio broadcaster. His passion for literature is as big as ever. He also dedicates a lot of time sporting interests such as snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking and marathon running.

His favourite internet websites reflect enthusiasm for the way the information super-highway has revolutionised journalism and the media sector. He's a big fan of the search sites "Google" and "Moreover", because they place instant and nearly infinite knowledge at our fingertips.
