Spending Swiss Francs in Germany

The German city of Constance on the banks of the eponymous lake has long been enjoying the benefits of its location at the border to Switzerland.

That boon got another boost when the Swiss Central Bank scrapped the franc's exchange rate cap - causing its value to soar. Swiss visitors have streamed into Constance, eager to avail of Germany's cheaper goods and services. Auto repairshops have their hands full.
