Once again, Deutsche Welle presents live recordings of concerts from one of the world's biggest Beethoven events. The 2010 Beethovenfest runs under the motto "Into the Open - Utopia and Freedom in Music" and features a great line-up of performers interpreting Beethoven's works and much more.

Don't miss performances below by the renowned Minguet Quartet, exciting multi-percussionist Martin Grubinger and acclaimed improviser Gabriela Montero, who dazzles with her takes on themes selected personally as well as by the audience.

Chamber and solo musicians aren't the only ones taking the festival stage, though. Check out orchestras led by star conductors Paavo Jaervi and Jonathan Nott, as well as the Shchedryk Children’s Choir of Kiev.

The Beethovenfest 2010 runs from September 10 to October 9 in Bonn, Germany. All podcasts are available for download free of charge.
