Russians snub Polish ski resort

It's high season in the Tatra Mountains and early January actually ought to be the time when the ski resport of Zakopane is full of Russians and Ukrainians.

But many of them are staying away this year due to the economic crises in their countries, and the ones who do show up don't have any money to spend. Zakopane is trying to attract Western European vacationers, but the ones who come are more reserved and less free-spending than the guests from the east.
