The client intends to have its antennae and broadcast equipment at the relay station in Kigali in Rwanda removed and recycled. This includes the professional removal of 14 curtain antennae (with 9 reflectors) and 5 quadrant aerials. Further individual items for disassembly and recycling include a 12-meter satellite dish, five 20 foot Antenna Azimuth Switch container and approx. 470 feeder masts. 16,500m feeder lines have also already been disassembled and made ready for recycling.

In total, large amounts of steel and copper are available for recycling. There are twenty 20 foot containers and eight 40 foot containers available for storage and removal.

These must also be recycled by the contactor. As an option, the client intends to have three additional antennae with three towers and three masts professionally removed and recycled, and also to have two short-wave transmitters recycled. The work is expected to commence from 1 October 2015 and must be completed by 31 March 2016. The DW relay station is located in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, on Kinyinya Hill.
