Rebuilding Jamaica’s coral reefs

Jamaica may be known for its sun, sand and sea but under the waves, the country is battling to rebuild its reefs. Since the 1980s, a combination of disease and pollution has decimated the island’s coral. But local efforts to replant coral through artificial reefs have begun to restore the ecosystem.
