A call went out on the Web about five years ago, wondering where all the female bloggers were and Lisa Stone had a simple answer, "They're everywhere."

On of the co-founders of the BlogHer media network, Stone said women have been choosing to spend more time online using social media to stay informed with news from around the world.

She explained how BlogHer became the leading participatory news, entertainment and information network for women online and how her favorite bloggers - male and female - keep the conversations on their Weblogs interesting.
