Pennsylvania police hunt gunman
December 16, 2014Police were hunting for a gunman suspected of going to three addresses in the Philadelphia suburbs on Monday and shooting dead six people.
The hunt for 35-year-old Bradley Stone, an Iraq war veteran, is focused around his Pennsburg home, although prosecutors say investigators are not sure of his exact whereabouts, nor how he is getting around. Stone is known to use a cane or a walker.
"As we stand here right now, we don't know where he is," said District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.
Those killed include Stone's ex-wife, his former mother-in-law, former grandmother-in-law, former sister-in-law, the sister-in-law's husband - and that couple's teenage daughter.
Neighbors of Stone's ex-wife say they were woken by the sound of gunshots and breaking glass. Stone took his two young daughters from the home of his ex-wife but left them with a neighbor, and they are safe.
It is understood the couple had been involved in a custody dispute over their children, and had filed claims against each other. The outcome of the dispute is unclear.
