Part 9: Brodowin Eco-Village - economic success with contented cows

Ludolf von Maltzan is the manager of the "Brodowin Eco-Village" in Brandenburg. The organic farm has 220 cows, and they are much better off than the livestock on most other large dairy farms.

Von Maltzan says focusing on the animals' welfare is the key to the business's success. Brodowin has managed to avoid the price-dumping practices of many of the large dairy concerns. By personally marketing its products, the farm can put profits directly into its daily operations. Report by Christian Pricelius.
