Migratory animals are difficult to protect, as conservation measures vary from country to country. The UN Convention on Migratory Species aims to protect birds, mammals and fish that move around the planet. Just last month the convention held its annual convention of parties in Quito, Ecuador. So, has 2014 been a good year for wildlife?
