Vietnam is in mourning following the recent death of one of the country's most revered war heroes, General Vo Nguyen Giap. Known overseas as the "Red Napoleon", Giap was credited with masterminding the battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, which helped mark the end of French colonial rule.
