Zara Murtazalieva is a Chechen woman who spent 8 years in a Russian penal colony on terrorism charges. Since being released last year, Zara has been working on a book that will be published next year and continues to campaign to improve conditions inside the Russian prison system. Now in France, she told Inside Europe her story, with the help of translator Emily Sherwin.
