With a specially-designed iPhone app, an entertaining websoap and a range of multimedia news and information, DW helps millions around the world to sharpen their language skills.

"Video-Thema" and the "Top-Thema With Vocabulary" are well received among language learners. And with these and other tools, DW offers a unique way to learn German while listening to the latest from culture, business and politics. Also popular is our “slowly-spoken news “ which generates a lot of clicks from those who want to stay on top of things. DW offers a flexible and interactive way to learn German and an introduction in 30 languages ensures that users from around the world will know where to start. DW also provides teachers with a wide range of instructional resources.

Our language-learning content is accessed more than five million times every month – by users from Tanzania to Saudi Arabia and from Brazil to Pakistan. And more than 70,000 fans check our Facebook page for updates.

The websoap "Jojo sucht das Glück" has been online since July 2010. The success of this format has been the added fun – young users are excited about learning German. In autumn 2011, DW introduced "CommunityD - Der Campus", a place where users can post and share articles, sound clips and videos. It offers them a great chance to network with like-minded people and form interactive study groups.
Learning German with DW is something special. It gives you journalistic content and a virtual classroom all in one.
