Toni Kroos set up Madrid's opener in an easy 2-0 win for the Spanish champions over San Lorenzo from Argentina. Kroos now has a second-successive Club World Cup after lifting the trophy with Bayern in 2013.

Real Madrid overpowered a physical San Lorenzo side 2-0 win the Club World Cup at a canter in Morocco on Saturday.

Sergio Ramos opened the scoring for the Champions League holders in the 37th minute with a firm header from a corner by German international Kroos.

Gareth Bale added a second after half-time when his tame shot squeezed under the body of San Lorenzo goalkeeper Sebastian Torrico.

The Argentinean side was playing in a red and blue striped kit simiilar to that of Madrid's great rivals, Barcelona. The underdogs were also backed by 12,000 noisy fans inside Le Grand Stade de Marrakech.

The players were not going to be pushed around either with Cristiano Ronaldo in particular receiving some rough treatment from the Copa Libertadores winners.

But with Kroos pulling the strings in the centre of the Real midfield the Buenos Aires-based club were never in the contest as Real coasted to their first ever Club World Cup trophy.
