Joining forces against terrorism

Nik Martin, BarcelonaApril 16, 2015

In Barcelona, 36 Mediterranean countries have agreed to cooperate more closely to stem the rise of Islamist militants in North Africa and Europe. The aim of the talks was to give non-EU countries the chance to have their say about future Brussels policy on the issue. The meeting came just days after local police arrested 11 suspected jihadists planning to carry out attacks in the city.
