Iran's new era

It's not yet an "Iranian Spring," but a slight thaw has set in since Hassan Rouhani became president in summer 2013. More than 70 percent of Tehran's residents have satellite dishes and watch foreign television stations, even though it's forbidden by law.

The country's minister of culture, Ali Janati, says that would mean millions in the capital were acting illegally every evening. He called that situation absurd and said it should be revised. After the change in regime, even young Iranians are returning to Tehran. But the country's economic progress is still slow.
