Interpreters being targeted by Taliban

Since the war started in Afghanistan in 2001, thousands of local civilians have been recruited to work with international troops on the ground. For those who are employed as interpreters, being seen helping soldiers communicate with locals is enough of a reason to make them a target for the Taliban and other insurgent groups.
