Excessive axillary, or underarm, sweating can be reduced by the use of antiperspirants that contain aluminum chloride. Local injections of botulinum toxin can block the nerves that trigger the sweat glands. With iontophoresis, sufferers dip their hands or feet daily into a water bath through which a mild electrical current flows. If nothing else helps, surgery is also an option.
