This is a four-semester program. The first and second semesters focus on the interaction between media, politics and society as well as on media development approaches. This is supplemented by journalistic skills, media business administration and media management. The first two years also look at "basic" subjects such as communication and presentation skills as well as intercultural communication.
Block seminars on empirical methods, media planning and research on media usage are the focus of the third semester. Students also learn more about project management and leadership and complete a media-related research project.
In the fourth semester students write their Master's thesis and take a final, oral exam.
