The EU has agreed to a naval mission in the Mediterranean to combat human trafficking from northern Africa to Europe. This unique mission will deploy surveillance aircraft and warships off the coast of Libya, where most of the ill-fated vessels have set sail, resulting in well over 1,000 migrants deaths already this year.
