First, it was the housing market, which crashed after Spain's property bubble burst. Then, it was young people, who have had to cope with seemingly omnipresent unemployment. And now, Spanish horses are going to the dogs.

How an economic crisis can trickle down to horses

Among the countries worst hit by Europe's debt crisis was Spain. Construction fueled the Spanish economy for years. Now it's collapsed along with the housing market there. Among the victims, Spanish youth - where the unemployment rate tops 57 percent. But there's another group of unexpected victims - Spanish horses. Lauren Frayer traveled to horse country in the south of Spain and sent us this report.
