Hate slogans have been found spray-painted at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. Police have launched an investigation.
The anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic graffiti were found in numerous places in the memorial on Monday morning.
One slogan read "Hitler, thank you for the Holocaust" and was written in Hebrew, said police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld.
He said police had launched an investigation and that no suspects had been identified.
One slogan fuelled suspicion that a small group of ultra-Orthodox Jews who are opposed to the state of Israel could have been responsible: "The war of the Zionist regime is not the war of the Jewish people," it read.
Yad Vashem is the world's biggest memorial to the Nazi extermination of around six million Jews in Europe during World War II.
