The Formula 1 title race between Mercedes temmates Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg continues to scintillate. In Saturday's qualifying, Hamilton was a fraction of a second faster.

With only 22 points separating standings leader Rosberg from his favorite enemy Hamilton in second place, every advantage could prove decisive. And the Englishman had the edge on the German on the Marina Bay Street Circuit by a razor-thin margin of 0.007 of a second.

"Damn it," Rosberg said over the radio, when he realised he had been beaten by the narrowest of margins.

The second row will be occupied by Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel's two Red Bulls. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was fifth fastest on the day. He'll share the third row with Williams' Felipe Massa.

The Singpore Grand Prix begins under the floodlights at 8PM local time/2PM Central European Time.
