Germany and France: An economic comparison

Even as Germany continues to set export records, France’s trade deficit grows ever larger. Germany’s economy is expanding; France’s is stagnating. Germany recently posted a budget surplus; France is battling a large public deficit. Milto Schmidt takes a look at the two economies.
