Learning by Ear takes its listeners on a journey through daily life. The shows explore the many mysteries that aren’t necessarily discussed in school. For instance, our reporters uncover how plastic bags are made and why they can become an environmental hazard.
Fundamentals and phenomena
Our shows look at people falling in love and animals in their natural habitat. We look at natural phenomena like why potatoes soften when they are boiled while eggs get hard. There is a whole world of knowledge that surrounds us. With Learning by Ear, listeners have the chance to understand it.
Learning by Ear is available in six languages: English, Kiswahili, French, Hausa, Portuguese and Amharic.
Learning by Ear is supported by Germany’s Federal Foreign Office.
