Italian Artist Marcello Barenghi
The works of artist Marcello Barenghi are so accurate that most people think his creations are actually photographs. We caught up with him in Milan to take a look at how he creates these 3-dimensional-looking paintings that spring to life.

Haute Couture
The haute couture week is held twice a year in Paris. The events are organised by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. But what criteria must a fashion house meet in order to be accepted into this exclusive world of luxury designs? And who actually buys haute couture?

Scottish Filmmaker Paul Diffley
Paul Diffley joins some of the world's best climbers on high-altitude tours to capture some breathtaking footage. And he's already taken home a large number of prizes for his work.

Theo Jansen's Strand Beasts
Dutch artist Theo Jansen creates what he calls "strand beasts" or beach beasts. They look like something out of a science fiction movie, move on their own and can harness wind power. Jansen's strand beasts are complex constructions made from simple materials he buys at the do-it-yourself market, like string, ties, and plastic tubes. An exhibition of his strand beasts opens in Paris in February.

Belle Époque Week
It seems like time has stood still In the Swiss village of Kandersteg. Many hotels are from the turn of the century and there are no major ski lifts. So Kandersteg decided to cash in on that and turn back the hands of time with the "Belle Époque week" celebrations in January. It's a winter vacation the way you might have done it a hundred years ago - and that includes the dress.
