2013 DW euromaxx highlights

Animal Magic
Emma Fay is a British body artist who transforms people into animals. We meet up with her in Leicester to see how she creates images of giraffes, dolphins and flamingos - with a little help from some very patient contortionists!

Tea as a Lifestyle Drink
Tea is the new coffee - at least according to the US hi-tech magazine "Wired". That seems to hold true for Germany as well: Since 2006, tea consumption has been steadily rising, with Germans now drinking an average of 27 liters of per year. We visit a tasting in Hamburg's warehouse district to find out more.

A Home in the Woods
Many dream of living in the countryside yet only a 30-minute drive from a major city. Hungarian photographer Zsolt Batar does just that, with a log cabin in the woods outside Budapest. With windows from floor to ceiling in most rooms, you really feel part of Nature.

Fragile Ceramic Artworks
Swiss artist Arnold Annen's ceramic bowls are so fragile that it's a wonder they hold together at all. White, translucent and paper thin - less than a millimeter in thickness - they test the artist's material to its limits.

A Trip to Tyrol
The Tyrol region with the famous ski resort of Kitzbühel is one of Austria's top winter attractions. Visitors and locals can enjoy around 150 kilometers of ski slopes - as well as the legendary après-ski. Kitzbuhel is also very popular with the international jet set.
