Hotpants Are In

First there was the miniskirt - then came the even skimpier, tighter and shorter hotpants. The short shorts went big during the revolutionary '60s and '70s but now hotpants are back with a bang this summer. They are a staple for most fashionistas’ wardrobes although hotpants or cutoffs aren't for everyone. We spoke to our fashion expert, Sean St. Lewis, on what’s works.

Glass Maker Matteo Gonet

Switzerland's Matteo Gonet is a craftsman who works with glass at his company "Glassworks" near Basel. He's currently working on a major project for the gardens at the Palace of Versailles. Gonet is creating dozens of glass sculptures that will be on display there starting this autumn. We met him in his factory and learn the art of glass making.

The Mystery of Neuschwanstein

Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria is one of the most famous buildings in Germany and attracts hordes of visitors from all over the world. Now there’s a computer game about it too. "The Mystery of Neuschwanstein was developed by the Munich-based company "Chimera Entertainment,” which presents its latest products at the game fair "Gamescom" in Cologne.

Venice's Architecture Biennale

The Architecture Biennale has been growing in popularity since it's inception. Forty countries are now taking part in this 14th edition which kicked off at the beginning of June and is running for an extended period of six months. It chronicles the evolution of national architectures from the past century. We accompanied a Swiss architect during his visit.
