Guide Michelin “Nordic Countries”

A new Michelin guide concentrates solely on the Scandinavian countries. Why? There’s growing international recognition for Nordic cuisine which is very experimental, using high-quality local products. We wanted to find out what all the hype is about.

Gran Canaria

For many people from colder European climes, Gran Canaria is a favorite winter get-away. But it has a lot more to offer than just sun-drenched beaches. For Euromaxx, our reporters crossed the island from north to south, discovering the many facets of the third largest of the Canary Islands.

King of Kitsch Harald Glööckler

He started off as a boutique owner in Stuttgart and became a fashion designer, businessman and dazzling public figure. Known for his glitzy and sequin-covered creations, Harald Glööckler is now opening his first 'lifestyle store' on Berlin's high-fashion street Friedrichstrasse. Gina Lollobrigida and Chaka Khan are among his fans.

Nature and Wildlife Photographer Ingo Arndt

He's travelled to the most remote corners of the planet and has had everything from mosquitoes to elephants in front of his lens. He's worked for Geo, National Geographic and BBC Wildlife and has won countless awards. Two very different books of Arndt's works have just been published: "Animal Architecture" and "Coastal Bears". A look at how this passionate photographer works.

Unusual Bicycles

In more and more cities bikes are taking over the streets, and innovative models are cropping up everywhere. Very popular are the freight bikes, made especially for transporting heavy or bulky cargo. In Copenhagen, they're all the rage.
