Eritrean cyclists

Eritrea has been a closed country ever since it gained independence from Ethiopia in the early nineteen-nineties. It’s known for ranking low in development and human rights indexes– and for the huge numbers of people that attempt to flee the country every month. But it’s not known for it’s obsession with cycling. A young Eritrean – Mekseb Debsesay – won this year's Africa Tour.
