Well, diplomatic activity remains hectic ... as the international community seeks a solution to the conflict in South Ossetia. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is just one of a series of western policy-makers calling for an end to the fighting. But deep divisions at the United Nations have so far blocked efforts to find consensus on a resolution calling for a ceasefire.
