Uwe Tellkamp wins German Book Prize je 14.10.2008 08

This year's German Book Prize has been awarded to Uwe Tellkamp for his novel "Der Turm" - or The Tower. The prize for the best German-language novel of the year is awarded annually to mark the opening of the Frankfurt Book Fair. Tellkamp's book tells the story of life in East Germany... in the seven years preceding the fall of the Berlin Wall.
