Russia's new president may have had an easy time getting elected, but running the country will be another matter. In many ways, Medvedev has been left with a sack full of unsolved problems. Critics say key decisions about reforms have been postponed, corruption has increased and inflation is rising. And as our next report shows, the gap between Russia's rich and poor continues to widen. Therefore, keeping Russia on a course that will ensure economic stability in the future will be one of the top priorities for the new president.
