Tamil Tigers Threaten Revenge

July 13, 2007

In Sri Lanka, Tamil Tiger rebels have held secret military drills to show their strength and warned that they are ready to counter the military. The recent threats come after an intense military operation in Eastern Province on Tuesday. The military claims it captured Thoppigala, an area considered to be the rebels' last stronghold in the region. The government now plans to launch an ambitious reconstruction plan.
