State election setback for German conservatives

Germany's conservatives saw big losses in state elections on Sunday, in the eastern state of Mecklenburg Vorpommern. It was a big victory for the Social Democrats. Led by state premier Erwin Sellering, the SPD expanded its position as the region's biggest political force.
