Medvedev in Germany

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is set to arrive in Germany on Friday for a two-day visit.
The Russian leader is scheduled to arrive late on Friday and stay at the official residence of German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Meseburg, north of Berlin.
Medvedev will meet with Merkel for talks on a range of issues, chief among them Iran's nuclear ambitions.
Russia and Germany are both permanent members of the UN Security Council, which has been calling for sanctions against Iran over its uranium enrichment program.
Visa tension
The two leaders will also discuss the situation in Afghanistan, market regulation and disarmament.
The Russian leader is also expected to push for the removal of visa requirements for Russian citizens traveling to the EU. Moscow has made visa-free access to the EU a top priority, but the request has not been approved by all EU member states, a source of embarrassment to Russia.
