Religious traditions remain a controversial subject in Europe today, from Germany's circumcision court decision to France's burqa ban. Some have questioned if religious intolerance is on the rise in Europe.

Religious traditions remain a controversial subject in Europe, from Germany's circumcision court decision to the debate and banning of the burqa for Muslim women in France. In Switzerland, resistance to the contruction of minarets or places of Muslim worship has also increased.
